The Mission Continues Inside

Wall tidied up

Wall temporarily tidied

Just tidied up to make it safe. Eventually the whole wall has to come down to join the spaces together and have a proper prayer area.

Roof repair 2

Ongoing roof leaks

Plus the existing building is constantly ongoing – one thing after another. The roof is leaking in several places. To do a proper fix the roof needs to be replaced fully.

Wall tidied up

Joined both buildings inside

We’ve started by joining both buildings from the inside. There isn’t enough space during Friday jummah — people queue outside trying to get in as those inside squeeze closer and closer to make room.

Ghusl facility 24 miles away

InshaAllah when the prayer area works are complete, we need to create a ghusl area for the deceased and storage. At the moment we have to take the deceased 24 miles away to Southampton to prepare for burial as we don’t have the facility here.

Current capacity roughly 250–300, but not enough for Jummah, especially during school holidays.

Roadmap to Completion

Total Target: £120,000
The Reality

Why We Need Your Help

Capacity Crisis
We serve ~300 people; on Jumu'ah people queue outside and pray on the street. Our community is growing rapidly.

Dignity in Grief

Ghusl facility 24 miles away

Next goal: a local Ghusl facility so families don't travel 24 miles to Southampton.

Nearest facility is 24 miles away
